An experiment: "Third" in Progress
Today commences my first free posting of "Third" in progress. This posting has Chapters 1-3. I'm an indie author, and my sales have been pretty good. But more exposure never hurts, and free is supposed to sell, at least in the long term. So I'm curious to see if this experiment will have positive results. I will also be cross posting at the Royal Academy of Bards. I'm not sure when the Academy will post Chapters 1-3, but it should be today or in the next few days.
I'm going to post at least one chapter at a time. Here is the cover and blurb for "Third":
Helen Franklin is horrified when her dying father leaves her a most unusual inheritance: a woman. Furthermore, the woman, Anne, is anything but ordinary. Helen tells herself she does not have time for Anne. Yalia, Helen's wife, has been distancing herself from Helen for three years, and Helen needs to decide if she wants to save their marriage.
Then the unexpected happens; a romantic relationship develops among Yalia, Anne and Helen. Can the three of them figure out their lives together, especially when time might be running out for Anne?
Disclaimers: The usual legal stuff. To wit (but not very witty): No part of this story may be reproduced without the permission of the author. The author is I! Q. Kelly :) Copyright 2011 by Q. Kelly.
Miscellaneous: If you like what you read, check out my other books. Here is my info:Amazon author page: http://tinyurl.com/6glbcjz
Smashwords author page: http://tinyurl.com/658grho
Barnes and Noble author page: http://tinyurl.com/5sx4ngr
Contact me: I'd love to hear from you at yllek_q@yahoo.com.
"Third" will be published, and obviously the published version will be much more polished than this work in progress. BUT any feedback and constructive criticism just may make its way into the published version, so don't hesitate to contact me.
Sex: Yep. This book is going to have lesbian sex and a polyamorous relationship.
Another disclaimer: The reason I almost did not do the free posting thing is because I often return to earlier chapters to tweak/add backstory, change names, change facts, info, etc. I'm far enough into "Third" that this will be as minimized as it gets with me. It will still happen. If I add something that affects a later chapter, I'll say something like: "X character is now named Y character." If I go back just to add scenes that don't affect later chapters, I probably won't mention that.
