NaNoWriMo2018 - Day 1

Day 1 of  #NaNoWriMo18 is drawing to a close for me and I'm happy with my progress. This year I have decided once more to do NaNo my way (to fit around my health and circumstances). My personal goal is to aim for the 50 000 words but not on just one writing project. I'm using NaNoWriMo18 to get back into the groove with blogging, plus to work on whatever drafts and ideas take my fancy. I'm already writing everyday so that's not enough of a goal this time around. I don't want to start a new major writing project, but I don't have an existing writing project that would require an additional 50 000 words. So I took a suggestion that my daughter made, gave it a twist and decided to go full #NaNoRebel.

I'm already happy with the progress that I made today. Prior to writing this I had just cleared 600 words, and given that I was out and about for a large portion of today, that's a first day total that I can live with (esp once I account for this quick blog post). I've posted on Patreon, noted down some ideas on poison to research, worked on 4 existing writing projects (Death's Apprentice, The Crush, Wall's End, and Pool Party Massacre) and noted down some new ideas. Oh, and I'm writing this. I don't feel stressed at all and 4 of my projects were shown a little love, so for me it's a big win already.

So here's to NaNo. And here's to continuing to bend and break the rules where my writing is concerned.
