we are better than this

I try as best i can to see the best in people. It's hard, sure, but usually a sliver of light can been glimpsed. Not always, no, and such is life. I mention this because of a certain individual who is running a country i have many a friend in. Breaks my heart is what it does. That such things not only exist in the world today but that so many support the utter disdain and vitriol that is being spouted. It will not last. It can't. And do you know why? Because we are better than this. We are kinder than this.
To my friends: America will survive Trump.
To those who disagree: America WILL be great again.
