Scarlet macaws

Marty’s photo of the day #2689: Photographing scarlet macaws was one of my goals when I was in Costa Rica. I’d often hear the birds, but they stayed out of sight. Then, on my last morning in the country, I was walking the beach and heard their squawking in the distance. I aimed at a gap between the trees and hoped they’d fly for it. Yay! I guessed right.
