I ran down the stairs and blew out the backdoor of the restaurant. When I jerked my truck door open, I noticed Eli climbing in the passenger seat. Scowling at him, I asked, “What are you doing?”
“We need to ditch your truck, then go in wolf form to the safe house.”
That wasn’t an answer to my question. Not really. “I need to disappear. I can’t do that with you hovering over me.”
