The Markov Encryption and Powder Day are both now out as Audiobooks!

Today I am excited to announce that my first-ever audiobooks have been released by Audible. My newly-released thriller, The Markov Encryptionand the Ben Lewis short story,Powder Day,are both now available for you to listen to and can be found by clicking on the above links. If you live outside of the UK, you'll find other links either on my website or through searching for the audiobooks on either iTunes or Amazon. In what may be seen by some (or indeed many!) as a 'courageous' move, I have opted to narrate these books myself (you may laugh at my accents - but I hope not too much!!) Audible increasingly are encouraging authors to self-narrate. Their logic is that authors know their own books better than anyone else and should thus be able to get the right intonation - and pace - in the storyline where required. Time - and your feedback - will tell whether I succeeded! In order to record them, I converted a disused sauna (yes, I know this sounds crazy - see the photo!!) into a sound recording studio - actually it sort of worked rather well. The bean bags were not for lounging on whilst recording (they'd make too much background noise!) but to muffle extraneous sounds. Editing was something of a steep learning process, but I have had a lot of fun along the way.Ideal for that long commute, car journey or plane trip, I hope you enjoy them. Do let me know what you think!
