Tongariro National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the oldest national park in New Zealand.

4. Waitomo Caves
The Waitomo Caves is a village with extensive underground limestone cave systems including Aranui Cave, Gardner’s Gut, Ruakuri Cave, and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves.
The Māori word “Waitomo” means “water sinkhole” or “water passing through a hole”.

5. Sky Tower
The 328 meter tall Sky Tower is in the CBD of Aukland and it is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere.
You can go up it and get an amazing view of the city.

6. Aoraki (Mount Cook)
Aoraki is the highest mountain in New Zealand, a top tourist destination, and a climbers heaven.

The Bay of Islands is an enclave of over 140 island. It is a popular tourist attraction for big-game fishing and sailing.

9. Abel Tasman National Park
This national park lies between the Golden and Tasman Bays and Tasman Bay.
Inside is the Abel Tasman Coast Track and the Tonga Island Marine Reserve where you can see seal colonies, penguins, dolphins, and more.

10. Auckland War Memorial Museum
The Auckland War Memorial Museum has collections covering New Zealand’s cultural, natural, and military history.
