One of my favorite recent genderbend cosplayers recently was a Huntress, from the famous big gb group at San Diego. What made it especially impressive is that I saw him from behind, and said, wow, that's a great Huntress!  Then he turned around and had a full beard. That was freaking awesome. And he STILL made a great Huntress!
