AN EXCITING MONTH!

I’ve just gotten back from another short trip to Italy, and although you can see what I have been up to in my most recent video, I wanted to share some photos I took, while writing about things I look forward to.

I was in Italy so I could try on some wedding dresses with family and friends, as well as to check out possible venues. I cannot believe that temperatures there are still so high, as they reached 31’C while I was there!

So to be honest, it felt quite cosy coming back to the UK as the weather is lovely, yet much chillier, making the transition into autumn more defined.

I’ve been eager to reach this month, this year, more than other years: of course there are birthdays involved, and my favourite holiday – Halloween – to be excited about, but Felix and I are starting to really begin focusing on the wedding, so we are going to check out venue after venue, and I also want to have one more dress session before making my final decision!

Right now the “Brighton dress” (which I’m keeping secret) is winning over all the other ones I’ve tried on, mostly because of the feeling I got while putting it on, and the fact that I can customise every aspect of it… but you never know! At this final appointment I may be wowed by something, and if not, I will then know that the one dress I fell in love with, is truly the way to go.

Felix’s parents are also coming to visit very soon, which is is lovely as I haven’t gotten to see them in a while and I’m looking forward to have them over.

There is also something else happening, which I will tell you about in just a few weeks!

Last night we drove to the holiday home so today I’m working on more pottery; I’m eager to open the kiln as I’m bisque firing the pots I’ve shown you in my previous post, and I cannot wait to glaze them all!

I’ve also started watching Maniac, on Netflix – I’m only 2 episodes in, I have no idea what is happening, but I’m into it! haha

Are you guys watching it as well? Thoughts?

Anyway, I just got back from my regular stop at the post office to ship out some Maì orders, and on the way back I bought some apples. I never liked apple cakes, but I’m so excited about the new month that I wanted to do something small to celebrate… apple cake seemed fitting, so I’m going to attempt making one this evening!
