If you want to be of a certain sexual orientation, and it does not harm anybody, you are entitled to your individual choice, and it you want to celebrate it in a low-profile event, I don't see why not.
But it becomes a sensitive issue when it becomes a large-scale festival running for days, because it would provoke many people.
The voices of the minority should be respected, but the views of the majority need to be respected too.
