Yes, it was one of those weeks. No, I don’t particularly want to talk about it. So why am I posting?

I’m posting because I did write six hundred words in one session this week. Which isn’t bad progress, and if I could do that more regularly (say, daily), life would be good. Grand, even. Awesome. Wonderful.

I had a lot of distraction this week, and a lot of having to have my head in other things, which just left no room for writing. And that’s just the way it goes sometimes, so I’m not going to feel bad about it. I will try to do better next week, however, and the week after that as well. That’s all we can do, really. Try, try again. And hope that you can switch gears when you need to in order to make room for “story”.

Because unless you’re a professional writer, that’s really all you can do. I’m a hobbyist. And that’s okay…for now.
