Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition review


    VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE 5TH EDITION is a book I never expected to see. I was a huge fan of Vampire: The Masquerade in the nineties. I was about as big a Gothic Punk as a tabletop roleplaying gamer could be in the South with no Goths around him, no black clothing in his wardrobe, and a restrictive Catholic high school. Josh Erikson Oh no. This has been tempting me, but some of the bad reviews have kept me away. Now I'm afraid I won't be able to help myself on the strength of this recommendation... Any advice on how to catch up with the lore? I stopped paying attention after I played Bloodlines for the 5th time. Around 2005, maybe.

There's a book called Beckett's Jyhad Diary which is "all of the lore up now compiled together and revised but in a funny tongue in cheek way." However, this is very much meant to be a jumping on point.

That's perfect. I like having the background lore for context, even if it only helps me get one inside joke in the whole text. Thanks!
