I Am My Characters

I am Paige.

Well, maybe I don’t have the same insecurities. Or the hot neighbor. Or a dead grandmother who likes to pop in unannounced.

But other than that, I’m Paige.

Many of us are.

Stressed out, overworked. Work-life balance something more akin to a fairy tale than an attainable goal.

I have this conversation with many of my patients in real life. “How do you handle stress? What are your stress outlets?”

For me, writing is one of my outlets. A way to escape. A way to work through things I might not otherwise know how to work through. And a way to entertain—both myself and others.

And when I see reviews like this one from H.M. Gooden “I highly recommend this sweet and only a little spicy book for anyone who loves a good romance. It also has the unexpected bonus of making me review my life and how hard I’m working!” I do a little happy dance. Because not only am I entertaining, but maybe, just maybe, I’m doing something a little bit more.
