Quick Excerpt #7
from: Letters from an Atheist Nation

WHY I AM AN ATHEIST
Under this caption we include all who doubt or deny the existence of a Supreme Being whether they call themselves Atheists, Agnostics, Infidels, Naturalists, Materialists, Freethinkers, or Liberals, machts nichts aus. I want to gather short articles on this subject and when I will have received about enough to occupy a page or so in the Blade, I will send it in to the publisher for publication.
The articles should not occupy more than about a half column of the Blade and must be written on one side of paper only. Each article must be accompanied with the full name and address of the author; but a nom de plume or initials only may be used to appear with the article.
I believe it is fairer for all to have all the articles appear simultaneously in one issue, so that no one can be accused of plagiarism; nor can one criticize in his article the opinions of another, always an easy thing to do – this criticism.
...
The prize? Never mind, you will be pleased, if you get it. Articles must reach me not later than May 1, 1903. Send it to me as soon as possible.
