Lots to Tell
I've been silent here and on my Facebook books page for too long, I know. But life does interfere sometimes.
I had the pleasure of two sets of visitors in early June, one the friend I traveled with around Europe, the other two another friend from my days in Paris and Florence, Italy and her husband. They are the friends I visit in Florida, and always willing to help me with research for the "Indelible" series. I followed both those visits by taking off from Portland to Spokane to visit another set of friends who moved from L.A. and on to Boise, where yet another friend from L.A. transplanted recently.
Did I get any inspiration for writing? No. Did I have a really good time with everyone? Oh, yes. And I needed that "down time" because I came home, put in a monumental amount of yard work after the long hiatus and forensically cleaned my house before putting it on the market.
Now I'm packing for the move-out at the end of this month.
Am I writing? Not much, but I recommitted myself yesterday evening, jumping back into a chapter I thought I was going to throw out, only to find it wasn't junk, after all. It has now grown by 2 pages, and when I admitted I had to go to bed, I had brought Kaylen into the scene with Brian and Jim in the 3rd installment of the "Indelible" series.
93 pages into the book, I'm setting a goal to complete the 100 page mark by the middle of next week. Although that sounds like a low goal, as the boxes mount inside the house and with my office to tackle next, it'll be a reasonable, workable achievement.
