I have returned to KU

After a two month absence, I've decided to return my books to the Kindle Unlimited program, in the hopes that whatever it was that was screwing people over has since been fixed. I'm also hoping that the fighting between the two management groups at KDP (which is obvious from the outside now) has finally been resolved.

Financially, it was a bit of a wash. Less sales, but higher returns per sale (because I'm getting full royalties on everything). But there were a lot of readers who were hurt who wrote me and told me that they were on a fixed income and couldn't afford to buy lots of books.

That later complaint was the reason I went back. As I said, financially I was doing the same out of the program as in, but I -really- would rather sell to all of those folks who've been with me up until now, but seem to be dependent on the KU program.

So wish me luck, and hopefully I won't get caught up in any of the screwy stuff.
Prayers would also be appreciated!

Steven Allen I hope that you avoid the fiasco that MSE and Cipriano are going through with KU. I don't and likely never will subscribe to KU, but I understand and like the fact that you put your books back for your readers. Shows that you care about your readers.
