Illusions

I looked at my past, I realised,

All that I ran after was just illusions.

Illusions that movies and novels show us,

Illusions that we believed would come true,

Illusions that our soulmate is waiting for us in other part of the world,

Illusions that we will get a perfect job,

Illusions that we will have a perfect life.

All that I have done in my life, is chase illusions,

Chasing what seems to be perfect in movies, novels and stories.
