It’s just a song

Playing on the radio

Crossing the planet

On the airwaves

It’s just a song

A collection of words

Pretending

To be poetry

Yet it evokes

Such thoughts

Such passions

Patterns in life

Streaming visions

Other possibilities

Touches the soul

Makes the whole

Ignites the embers

As mind remembers

It’s just a song

A throw away item

As plastic as can be

But it sets me free
