Spreading the 'DETERMINATION' in ME!!!!
Haven't been writing lately as being in the field of talking, interacting, sharing, awaking those who still at this age believe that women are not equal and they can't be and they definitely shouldn't!
Going to schools, colleges, institutions is certainly very hectic!!!!
Me, who hardly filter words, given opportunities by very responsible respected principles, institution heads, to talk openly on RAPE and other crimes against women. Listening to teenagers and sometimes their parents, teachers, kids telling their fearful experiences, crying, depressed and me, soothing them with love and care and as an unknown friend who definitely will not make fun of what had happened with them, makes them believe that there's someone to help.
And as I start talking, listening, I feel more certain that - - -
Yes, there's still time!!
But the problem is not what I can say or will say to bring change in mentality, to at least make a platform where this issue of GENDER INEQUALITY can be discussed openly or can be sorted out.....
The problem is "who follows & who doesn't?"
No religion or religious books, saints, gods, goddess ever written by themselves that women are weaker sex. I've not read it in Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji or in Shiv Purana or even in Sunderkaand.
These kind of beliefs, norms, rules had been made long ago by a few those who wanted them to be worshipped as saints/babaji by their creed #men, to fulfill their urges and their preachings misleading to dominate women and children anyhow. And now, people blindly follow them and this Baba Culture has spread throughout the world.
When someone asks me 'when will all this stop and how or who will make it stop, my answer to him/her---
'ONLY YOU CAN !'
Just start believing in God directly & stop following these babas. God made everyone equal. It's us, humans, who divided and started dominating just to fulfill our cravings for good and bad as well.
I always remember this quote - - -
"I'm responsible for what I said but not for what you hear, understand and forward! "
This is the problem exactly with mentality also. God bless men with power for safety of women and children, but not to dominate, threaten or rape!
But his preachings might had been heard in a wrong way!!!!!!
It's up to humans or men how they treat women and children, with dominance or with respect!
Religion, culture and society or Internet has nothing to do with it!!
That's why, instead of just writing articles, blogs or poems, I'm actively taking this initiative to bring this to one's mind, to aware them not to follow anyone blindly. We can argue and question anyone and it's our birth right.
I mean every kid explores the world with questioning with What, Why, When, How.
So we can ask our forefathers why they believed women as weaker sex?
I ask lot many questions like - - -
(Who made this rule?
And why it is only for women?),
when someone prompts,
"She's a girl/woman, she must behave like one!"
If asking for FREEDOM , EQUALITY , SAFETY is a crime in the eyes of so called male dominated society, then
""" I'M PROUD TO BE A CRIMINAL!!!!!!! """"
I'm very lucky to have met people who believe that being daughter in law of a reputed family of Amritsar, I must not fight against Rape as it's a shameful word, This... This is what makes me more determined.
May be I can't start a woman revolution but can make a difference by....
Being Fearless!!
Being A Strong Rebel!!!
Being Woman!!!
