Random Thought on Book Covers

I had a random thought about ebook covers and maybe book covers in general in the future.

I was making a new book cover and thought, wouldn’t it be cool to have a gif or video cover for my e-books. Like, have scenes, characters, or video of me telling the reader about the contents. So, my question became, when will e-books allow video covers? Seems the technology is easily there.
