Mars Rise

We smoke at Mars rise

Gaze into the South black

Troops poised, bad battered

Spit praying cloud curls

Into heaven’s earth turn

Gaping on its tired side

Blinking visions, iron vows

Shape filled, laser tagged,

Brandishing a million eyes,

Sharp sons, bleak born,

Mercy broken every morning.
