I once worked for an editor at a gay press that sent out a mass e-mail telling his authors that he didn't want any stories or books with the word "underpants." He preferred "underwear." I thought that was a little silly at the time, and I thought that editor was an idiot. But I didn't use that word again for a while.

In any event, photos of men in their underpants is gay culture, too.  (Smile)
