A month of giving thanks

I've seen a few "Thanksgiving advent calendar" dealios floating around--folks are taking a moment to say what they're thankful for in their lives each day until Thanksgiving--and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. For one, it'll get me posting on my blog again, and for another I sometimes get so busy focusing on negative things that I forget just how fortunate I am. 

Or I could be blatantly ripping off John Scalzi. 

You know. Whatever works.
