Days 5 & 6 10-Day Green Smoothie Challenge July 28, 2018

I can't believe I skipped a day, but then again, I can. I get really busy on Friday for some reason. It looked like it was going to rain, but never did. We have horses, and even though they stay outside we like to be sure they have good food, water, shelter, and company during a storm. They were fine.  I also manged to run by the gym for a minute and talk to the owner about buying some supplemental insurance from me. Right now I'm bird-dogging for a great company and thinking about joining up, but I want to test the waters to see if it's something I want to get back into. If I can find a permanent job where I make as much money, and have a desk...well, you know, I will take the desk job. I'm a little old to be running around prospecting.  I don't mind it, but it's rather tiring.

Day 5 was great. I did have discomfort and I did again today about 30 minutes after drinking the smoothie.  It wasn't bad, just enough to let me know that I was going to need to go to the bathroom. I didn't have anymore diarrhea, but it wasn't as solid as it needed to be to say I had a solid movement. I do realize that I'm sharing about poop, but when you're on a clean or detox type challenge, it's all about the movement! Poop is King!

Day 6 (July 28) was good. I was about to make a morning smoothie when I realized that I didn't have any frozen fruit! OMG.. what to do?  I put in: yogurt (plain) with walnuts, chia seeds, orange juice, kale, and a few ice cubes. I never use ice because it could water the flavor, but since I was only going to drink 8-10 ounces it was good.  I made 20 so I could save some and added strawberries (fresh) to it when I came home from the barn.  THAT IS SUCH A LIE...why did I just lie to you? I did it after I came home from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare (pound)!!  We go out there to assess equine from time to time, and try to post them online so people can see if they want to buy or adopt a pet. Today was free adoption day, all the cats were gone before we arrived.  This is a GOOD thing because we don't need another cat.

So, I had a dream two nights ago that I was standing on a flat glass bathroom scale. I looked down with my eyes half covered by my hands and the numbers said: 144.8  WHAT? WHAT? Yes, it was a dream, but wow, gave me hope. I'm only 50 pounds away from that right now. I can do this.  I can do this right now!!   OK, so I'm saying this, my best friend came over today and she looked at me and she said "Hey, you look like you lost weight."  I think she's just being nice, but hey, we'll find out tomorrow. I'm only going to weigh myself once week, it's easier on me that way. Just in case nothing has happened.

Behave yourselves and if you can, get to your local animal shelter and adopt something!! Make a fur baby happy.
