Should Christians Put Family Ahead of Christian Service?

Just last week on Christian radio, a Bible teacher said, “The priority for all Christians is God, your family and service in the church.” I realize that’s a popular notion with a majority of Christians, but I don’t think Jesus would agree with him!

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29
