Author Interview – E.M. Hamill’s Blog

Hey, all!  I was so happy to be a guest on E.M. Hamill’s blog!  We talked about One Bullet, as well as my upcoming Inquisition Trilogy, and just writing in general.

Tell us a little bit about your most recent book, One Bullet.

One Bullet follows Ethan Brant, a former police officer suffering from PTSD, and Detective Shawn Greyson, the man who saved his life.  They start out as friends, navigating through their growing feelings, and finding they both want more.  While PTSD is certainly apart of the story, the angst and darkness is kept to a minimum in favor of focusing on the lighter sides of the story.  I wanted to create a comfort read, something that would be nice after a long day when you just need something happy to read (you know those stories I’m talking about).  In that, this is a slice-of-life tale.  There’s no mystery, no big bad guy to stop, just Ethan and Shawn discovering each other, and dealing with everyday life, friends, and family.
