Hands of Fate
Fates
Fates are a subconscious creation by the Great One. To natural life they resemble a doll with half its body missing. They have a hundred masks and hundreds of arms. For every galaxy there must always be a Fate. They represent Law. Fate are energy beings that direct the path of every single being within its domain―animals included. Fate act as a writer for each galaxy, it’s the Great One Will. They do not dictate life though, even though they are entities of Laws, their complex programming forces them to leave optional ways for chaotic outcomes.
Their paths is design like a web allowing for many different directions at any given time. Fate can write the entire life story of a being with two dozen endings within a second. There are special cases where Fate would only write one path for a person, this person is usually someone who would make a big impact to their species or galaxy or even the universe. They are refer to as Chosen. Chosens are people set to either keep Chaos at bay or rid it from Fate’s domain. Chosen are often good looking, tragic childhoods to harden them, and naturally charismatic. If someone of the Chosen deny their fate, Fate will make sure they suffer until they return to their path. If they die, then Fate will start again, learning from its mistakes.
Fate’s will can be altered. It will always correct itself but it can be altered by a powerful force, usually this force is one of the Gods. Example would be: a child who would save their race would be born between this couple, a God drives the couple away from one another by manipulating the conditions. Driving the male insane and making the woman hate him. But Fate always gets its way. Fate will correct the path automatically by forcing the two to make the child through unconventional means.
Even if Fate correct this path, the alteration creates Blanks. Blanks are children or people who were not supposed to be born or not supposed to live this long. They are free from Fate’s will and so they cannot be directed. These Blanks usually leave a trail of alterations to Fate’s will and normally forces Fate to take drastic actions like changing someone's life story midway to have the Blanks killed. Blanks leave catastrophic damage in Fate’s will. Some people who were supposed to have good lives, ends up with bad ones. People who deserve bad lives have good lives. Blanks can also cause good things to happen, but normally it leads to even more people being hurt. There are special cases where Fate would allow Blanks to live, whether for entertainment or if they decide to keep up with the changes the Blanks makes. It depends on the Fate of that galaxy.
