Typos Are Like Cockroaches. What Can You Do?

“Typos are like cockroaches,” a former editor at Harper Collins once said. “You can never get rid of them.”

That may be, but nobody likes cockroaches. Can they be exterminated?

If you’re a traditionally published author, one hopes your editorial team catches them all. If you’re an indie author, you also hope your editor catches them all.

(There’s no excuse, in my opinion, for anyone publishing an unedited book, so for this post, I’m talking about indie authors who hire professional editors.)
