Scottish Open Fantasy Preview
Heading back to Gullane Golf Club, the Scottish Open boasts a very strong field this week as many stars are prepping for The Open Championship which takes place next week at Carnoustie.
Gullane GC hosted the Scottish Open back in 2015. Rickie Fowler won that edition while Matt Kuchar finished one shot back.
Keeping with the theme of last week’s Irish Open we have another links layout against a strong field. The greens are a bent/fescue/poa blend. The only major difference is we’re now dealing with a par 70 instead of a par 72. That’s eight less par 5s to feast on throughout the week.
In true Scotland fashion, we have temps in the mid 60s with rain possible throughout the event. As we often see on links layouts, it’s certainly possible that one side of the draw gets a small advantage before the cut.
