Robert Zwilling I think reading fiction with plenty of drama in it that relates to things in the readers lives goes a long way towards defusing the daily tension that builds up in people from all the things going on in the world around them that they have no control over. Even if a person avoids the news they still know what's in it or they wouldn't be consciously avoiding it. Imagination builds castles and other things that can't be ignored. Rading or writing relaxes those creations so we can learn from those situations instead of running from them.

Florence Witkop I agree totally. My only problem as a writer is that I prefer writing stuff with little to no drama in it because I like to see life as a smooth, interesting journey. Not the best wish for a writer!

Robert Zwilling I enjoyed reading several of your stories, you have a way of making the world surrounding the characters come alive in an emotional way that adds to the drama of the story. Overall I find it creates a positive feeling to the story and the characters not so smooth journey throughout it.
