Yeah, someone copied me.

I guess it had to happen sooner or later, but someone decided to violate my copyright. Currently I've got a lawyer and we're going the whole C&D route and may have to file suit against Amazon, who so far, hasn't told us the real name of the person infringing on my copyright so we can go after them directly.

This is neither a fun nor cheap process, and yes, it has gotten in the way of my writing, more than once. Dealing with legal issues and lawyers is quite time consuming.

Under advice of my attorney, I can't mention the name of the infringer or the name of the work. Not that I suspect any of you would have a hard time figuring it out. If you should figure it out and you actually know the real name and identity of the person responsible, I'd love to hear it, so I can forward that to my lawyers, (and yes, I've got more than one involved in this, did I mention it was expensive).

Oh, and Valens #9 should be out the 13th of this month. Sorry for the delay, but again, dealing with crap like this never helps.

Steven Allen Damn that sucks. Amazon has not done a very good job of protecting author's copyrights. If Amazon does not get their shit together, more authors will abandon Kindle due to copyright violators getting away with their crimes while Amazon twiddles their thumbs.
