Twenty-five years ago today

Thursday

I had lunch with Stephanie Bautista (my ex-boss) at Max's. She treated me for lunch. That was sweet of her.

I spend my morning and afternoon breaks with Carla Guzman today. We're becoming buddies. She is so much fun. I like her personality a lot.

I napped at home right after work.  I was feeling idle and just wanted to rest.

Mike Miller called me.  And then Mark Landreth called and persuaded me to go to the gym's Halloween Party tonight.

I dressed up as a ghost with a safari hat and wire-framed eyeglasses. No one would recognize me. I only wore my white brief underwear underneath the sheet.   Mark dressed as a NINJA.   The Halloween Party was pretty fun.  No one really recognized me (or Mark). I honestly believe that no one had any idea of my identity.   When I saw Anne and Patty I lifted my sheet and they wanted to know my identity.  

I returned to Mark's house to change.  He got to see me stripped down to my underwear.  Cheap thrills.

John Sims will be coming over this Saturday to check out my pad and negotiate moving-in as a roommate.

There are currently two Directory Sales Representative Openings in San Francisco and Santa Clara. I wish I could submit for them but I am locked-in at my current position for eighteen months. I will have to wait and see.

Tomorrow is Halloween. I'm going to a party with Mark. I think I'll dress as a baby (in a diaper) and carry a teddy-bear and blanket.

I made arrangements to fly to Los Angeles on December 5th to see Jim Koran, my friend. He telephoned the other night and he's such a nice guy. I want to see him.

I haven't been able to call mom for all of this week.

Judy Geniella telephoned me. She was pouting because I had not called her.
I explained, "My new job requires my doing more work than usual, without making personal calls. I want to feel productive since my boss sits right in front of me!"
She laughed and said, "Well, okay then."
I added, "It will be better next week when two more victims arrive."
"Victims?"
"Yes, you know…new employees. Their names are Rhoda and Lily."
Judy laughed at my choice of words.

"Restrain yourself…this is the challenge only we can overcome."
