#MusicMonday – What I’m Listening to on a Loop This Week.

Hey, y’all!

So, I’ve been working on my third book this week, (yes, the Liam book) and I’ve been building a playlist as I write. These songs are from that list. Maybe it’s a little insight into what I’m writing? Who knows. (I’ll never tell… well, OK I will eventually but…ya know.) These songs are on repeat in my head just about eight hours a day. I love how music can influence your moods or even scenes your writing. It works for me and now I can’t write in silence! This week you get six songs instead of my usual five because I couldn’t decide between the last two!

Kamikaze, Walk The Moon

I don’t know this band. Not even a little bit but I stumbled across this song and fell in love with it. Now I just need to check out the rest of their work.

Bad Girls Don’t Cry, The Night Game

Another band I’ve never heard of but this song! It’s like the 80’s meet the 90’s meet something I love. Adore this one and have danced around the house cleaning more than once to it.

You Deserve Better, James Arthur

I LOVE James Arthur. In fact, some of his songs have made my previous book playlists. One even made a scene in The Lucky Dress! I have a feeling I’ll love anything this guy puts out there.

I Hate Love Songs, Kelsea Ballerini

Now I’m not a huge country fan but I’ll make an exception for this song (and maybe a few others, what can I say? I’m a complicated woman.). This song is exactly what I’ve based the leading lady of this book on. I just love everything this song is about (or not about?).

Ride or Die, The Knocks (featuring Foster The People)

I don’t know The Knocks, but I generally love anything by Foster The People and this song is no exception. So fun.

Set to Attack, Albert Hammond Jr

I don’t know Albert Hammond Jr and this is the first song by him that I’ve heard but I really love it. It’s very new age Beatles, and I don’t even like The Beatles. It just works for me somehow. He reminds me of James Bay.

Hope you love these ones! Have a song or band in mind you think I’d love? Tell me in the comments below. I just love finding new favorite songs!
