Doctors and Bloggers

I wrote to this blogger, pitching one of my books. From what I’ve read of his Bio, he appeared to be a doctor. At least that’s what I thought. It wouldn’t surprise me since you’ll find reviewers from all walks of life.

It was my fault, really. When I’m mentally tired, I have a tendency, at times, to misread sentences. So, I read that this blogger was an “avid gynecologist.”It still didn’t hit me.

But just as I was about to send the email, my subconscious told me to pause. Avid gynecologist what? This cannot be, I told myself. What kind of a sick doctor is this?

I went back to the blog to double check what I read.This time I took it slow.

It seems our blogger friend is not a doctor but an avid genealogist, and he does something else for a living.
