This is what is going on. I am going to bring Sibeal back via Hawaii’s direct release program, rather than putting her in quarantine. Currently, we have an appointment at her vet to get her FAVN rabies blood test to send to Kansas state University. Once they receive it, they will send it to Hawaii dept of agriculture. I will then be able to determine the exact date (120 days or more) we will be arriving in Hawaii, as we will be doing Sibeal’s quarantine here at home.

Here is a current breakdown of costs. Some are unknown, but will know more soon.

$270- FAVN BLOOD TEST -Animal Care Clinic

$145- Dept of Agriculture State of Hawaii

$250- Keahou Vet,Direct Release fee

$50- vet exam 30 days before flight (for State of HI)

$50- vet exam 10 days before flight (for airline)

Unknown- needs flea and tick treatment applied at 30 day exam.

I think that’s it, but it’s a lot. My son is helping me with the blood test. Any amount, no matter how small, is helpful. Mahalo!
