Age of War goes into its second printing!

We've been fighting a battle with flood waters here on the land, so I've not been online much. But I did get some good news today about how well Age of War is pre-selling. A second printing has been ordered, a good sign indeed especially given we are still more than 2 weeks out from the release date. For those who love first editions, you better get your pre-orders in fast ;-).  I also have some books ordered for direct selling once the book goes live, so I should have some of the first editions as well.
And thanks, everyone for early support of the work. I'm so glad people are as excited as I am. July 3rd can't come soon enough from where I sit!  Now, if you excuse me I have to go use an excavator to install a huge culvert between the garden and the pool so we don't flood out for a third time !

Lee I do love first editions, so hope I'm not too late to get Age of War from your site. As a massive fan of yours since you were self-publishing, I love your success, Michael. Way to go!

Matt Pierce I would pre-order from your website if I could (rather than another online retailer).

Beverly Sorry to hear about the flooding problem. I hope it is only the land and not the house.

Doesn't a second printing before the book is even released mean it has had more pre-orders than anticipated?

To anyone reading these comments, this is a fabulous series Michael has created. If you haven't read the previous 2 books, I urge you to do so. I was a beta reader and omega reader for Age of War so I have read it twice in rough form and almost finished form, however, I look forward to reading it again in its finished form. It is that good!

Sylvia Applause for the second printing and for being able to run a backhoe in self defense. Impressive.

Michael @Lee - I have a local bookstore that ordered a bunch of books for me to sell directly from my site and they will all be first editions. So no worries!

@Matt - Orders will be available on my site starting July 3rd.

@Bev - the house is fine, the problem was the pool (which we JUST put in). A river ran through it and as such it was filled with mud and dirt and grass clippings. We'd never seen water in that part of our land before so figured it was a once in a lifetime thing. Not only was the pool water a mess but its liner started to float out of the ground and the pump stopped working. We JUST got it back together and I kid you not, another flood did the same thing just 4 hours after. We had thought this was a once in a lifetime kind of flooding but it happened twice!! We didn't clean the pool because more rain was predicted but we built up some barricades - which almost worked with the third flood came. Then we got serious, ordered and surrounded everything with sandbags while we waited for the ground to dry a bit. Then we rented an excavator and installed a huge culvert. We still have the sandbags up (just in case) but we've not had any more rain. We cleaned and got the pool running again, which was great as it's been in the high 90's here. I "think" we have the situation fixed...it rained yesterday but not enough to produce the river. We're in wait and see status until the next big rain occurs.

@Bev - yes, that's exactly what it means. The publisher chooses the print run size based on preorders sales when it goes to print (and past print runs) and if orders continue to come in after the print order has been placed they order some more.

@Leslie - there are no limited editions of this book. If you mean you've pre-ordered a copy they will be shipped as soon as we get them. If you mean you ordered a limited edition of one of my other books (only Death of Dulgath and The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter) have those, then you should have received those ages ago. I'll follow up with you privately.

@Sylvia - Never ran a backhoe before this. I spent the night before it's delivering getting plugged into the matrix and downloading the operating instructions. In other words...watching videos of that model number ;-)
