Reads of the Year (So Far)

I've gotten a lot of reading done the first six months of this year. Of course not all of the books were great, but I haven't run across any terribly bad ones either. I've read in several different genres and everything from a snarky detective to witches, to a mad scientist and dragons.

A few of my favorites so far has been Full Slab Dead: A Josie Tucker Mystery, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2, and Dr. Moratrayas, Mad Scientist among others.

Thanks to a group read, I also got a chance to read a rare gem called The Delicate Dependency: A Novel of the Vampire Life. I would recommend it for vampire fans who like the beauty and intrigue of vampires without the teenage sparkle. It is not an action driven book, but more of a psychological thriller.

I look forward to seeing what other interesting reads I come across. Who knows what other hidden gems might be out there. What fun or interesting books have you read this year?

Graeme Rodaughan It's always good to find some good stories. Glad to hear you're enjoying your reading. It's been a good year for me too.

It is good to find cool stories. I have enjoyed my reads so far and have continued to add to my want-to-read list. The new short stories collection in the Dresden series is out so now I have to wait patiently (biting my nails!) for my friend to read his copy so my father and I can get our hands on it. We've borrowed the entire series from him.

I'm glad its been a good year for you too. Has there been one that stuck out for you?
