Where do You dwell?

The more churches I see,
The more I am convinced
They are shrines to man and not God.
When riches and paintings in empty buildings
Are more essential than
A roof over a person’s head
Food in a person’s belly
Clothes on a person’s back
Or a life worth living.
That is a place where
Your God, my God, our God
Does not dwell.
And you,
You who choose to worship at this shrine to man
You shall not dwell with God.
