Write, write, write!!!

I'm off from work for two weeks. Well, one week now, as this one is almost over.
I have my latest book project in my head just about 24/7, but I can't seem to focus enough to get much of it done. This has got to stop.
I just happened to glance at my word count - something I rarely bother with - and I see that it's an even 36,800 words. lol
I'm shooting for completing Book I (part one) and starting on Book II before the end of next week, at the very least. I'm so damned slow...
Well...back to work.

Trish Butler I just get it down and fix it later!

Hate staring at the blank screen. When I catch myself doing it I tell myself it doesn't matter what it is, just write.

Good luck - so envious!

M.F. Hopkins I hate staring at the blank screen as well...it's like all of the stuff in my head is too far along in the story, and I need to complete the 'now' part first...lol Hell, I even know how the book will end, but getting there...

You have no reason to be envious. I'm too slow of a writer, and I think that what I'm working on will be huge (length wise), as it's a novel comprised of 4, or more 'books'. I may have to cut out a book. lol

Thanks for dropping, Trish!

Trish Butler Hey, I say if a certain scene is consuming you, get it down. There is no law to say a book has to be written in order. Plus with my memory, if I have some great dialogue going on in my head, it's best to write it before I forgot what it was! LOL

M.F. Hopkins SO true. You have a point. I used to have Post It notes stuck everywhere on my desk. I should take up the habit again, provided that my lil' bad-assed cat doesn't get to them. Or maybe just keep some scratch paper to jot stuff down. lol
