A diary entry from 2011

I was going through some old diaries and found this entry from when Lily was around ten weeks old. I was still suffering from serious mental health issues, and remember that the guilt and shame from this incident were terrible. I wish I could go back to then, put my arms around my 31-year-old self and get her some help.

Every new mum has, at some stage, dropped her baby or had them fall out of a sling or off a sofa, bed or high chair. If you know a new mother, please be kind to her, because a lot of new mums struggle just like this.
