Book Detectives!
Hello Folks,
I was looking in Waterstones with my mum today, who was handing over book after book to me as the bank of LK was buying her birthday present(s) when I saw a book I really fancied buying. So I thought, I'll buy it later on my Kindle. Problem is, I can't remember what it was called and who it was by which is as useful as a chocolate teapot. So I was wondering if anyone out there knew what it was from the vague description I am about to give.
It's a historical detective set in the 12th century featuring a female doctor - the cover is red and I think the author's surname begins with a 'C' - any ideas? Please let me know if you do know!
In other news, I've had the lurgy which is not great when you are trying to reach the end of the novel you are trying to write. As I tend to take influence from my life in the things that I write, my character is about to catch a stinking cold, spend about two days in bed feeling sorry for himself whilst procrastinating to Hamlet levels. Not a great place to be when you are on the run trying to prove your innocence but when you've got a cold, you can get away with murder...

I'm a-ok now Eileen thanks! I found the book in the end, it was by Ariana Franklin and was purple and not red!
Book update, got the novel 'Mistress of the Art of Death' for Christmas and book tokens so will buy the rest in the series. Bad news is that the author Ariana Franklin died this year, which is a blow (for her family of course) and also for those who enjoy historical detective novels.
Sorry I can't help with the book, though.
