No, I'm not dreaming about Christmas - I'm talking about right now. I LOVE fall, especially Halloween. I'm so in my element this time of year. It's cool but not cold, and the skies are usually grey (which is how I like them) and the leaves are all sorts of different colors. Besides the comfortable weather, what I like about this season is the mysteriousness. As summer fades to winter, it's kind of like the world is dying, which I think puts a hint of melancholy in the air that's nice, especially after the overbearing heat and brash loudness of summer.
Even vegetables are happy this time of year.
Then there are pumpkins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin coffee, ghost stories and the fact that they play all the cheesy ghost documentaries I like to watch on TV.
The only thing I don't like about this time of year is that it always seems too short. Before I know it it's winter, and that icy, slushy hell seems to last for an eternity. For now though, I'm simply enjoying fall.
What do you love about this time of year?
