I see my last post was confusing. It is confusing. How to explain? It would take ages. It kind of goes like this: Thursday Thing 2 came down with The Fever. This virus that burns through a victim, soaking clothing, bedding and so on. (Creating lots, and lots of laundry.) Goes in a cycles of cold, hot, fine, repeat for 48 to 72 hours.
