About Starr Sayles The Author
I am a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. I love to read, cook and play “World of Warcraft”.
I love Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Myths, and Legends. Through in some murder, suspense, and gratuitous sex and there you have a good read.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1948. We moved to Pennsylvania and I graduated Farrell High School in 1966.
I took Business Management at Kent State, Graphic Arts at Bellevue University, and I am studying, History, Classical Literature and Government at Hillsdale University.
My favorite quotes are below;
“The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shock-proof shit detector.” — Ernst Hemingway.
“We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.”
Ernest Hemingway

One of my Favorite Authors;
Charlotte Perkins Gilman
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, The United States July 03, 1860
Died August 17, 1935
Genre Fiction, Sociology, Poetry
Charlotte Perkins Gilman was a prominent American sociologist, novelist, writer of short stories, poetry, and nonfiction, and a lecturer for social reform. She was a utopian feminist during a time when her accomplishments were exceptional for women, and she served as a role model for future generations of feminists because of her unorthodox concepts and lifestyle. Her best-remembered
work today is her semi-autobiographical short story, “The Yellow Wallpaper”, which she wrote after a severe bout of post-partum depression.
