Whatever After series, Book 2: If The Shoe Fits
by Sarah Mlynowski &
narrated by Emily Elden
What do you do when your glass slipper, that could walk you into a life of lavish honor is shattered? What if said ruined glass slipper is shattered after it crashed onto your foot, leaving you unable to even try on the shoe when the Prince's assist arrives? What do you do? What do you do? #element-5b18473a-e3c4-4134-8232-ecf086f5610b .waddons-blog-image.hideImage { display: none;}
In Whatever After: If the Shoe Fits, by Sarah Mylnowski, tells of how Abby and Jonah manage to ruin another tale! Cinderella is working the original tale, with lizards, rats and bad pumpkins. She's also got a Fairy Godmother who doesn't just do requests. She makes you earn them.
What I liked most about this book is that it came during the week of International Women's Day. The story had Cinderella going out and doing things for herself, not solely depending on magic to bail her out. What began to bother me were Abby and Jonah. They always ruin things, then say 'Duh' when someone questions their actions and motives. You can't just barge into people fairly lives, mess them up and then act all superior! LOL
Though I enjoyed the first book, this one became a bit annoying. Still cute, but I think I'm done reviewing this series.I do believe both girls and boys (mostly girls though) would like a few of these tales. Check them out!
