Alan C. Fox and Eefje Kuijl's: Benji & The 24-Pound Banana Squash

Children's Book Review As you know, I totally adore children's books. Benji & the 24 Pound Banana Squash is one of them. Sweet, simple and filled with beautiful illustrations that just make you smile, this book is absolutely perfect for the wee-ones! Benji is a boy who loves his veggies. He loves them so much, he saved seeds from the previous squash meal and decided he'd grow his own.  The story tells of a boy with pure determination, patience and joy for creating something of his own.

I think the photos made the story for me. There's not much to the wording, but you don't really need it. First off, it's a children's book! LOL The pictures do the work for you. Fox and Kuijl did a great job and I think any person who picks this book up will enjoy it.  Like I said, the pics alone just make you smile!
