Updates, Updates Everywhere
It's been a busy while here over the last couple months.
After a long and drawn out experience with CreateSpace and UPS, I FINALLY got the book proofs for Purrfect Tails and approved them. Once Fur-Eh! is over, where I will be selling them and a selection from other publishers, I will be sending out contributor copies.
I have also started the editing process for Mamono Menagerie. The cover art is also in production, and looking quite stunning and colourful! I am hoping to get through the edits over the next couple months as seeing Purrfect Tails in physical form has provided some needed motivation.
I am also going to be trying to get my novellas done in my Feline Fantasies furry erotic series. As I have mentioned in previous blogs, being a writer as well as editor/publisher is not as easy as one would think. (and I have seen small presses perish because of this) Last year I published two stories that will see release this year through other publishers when normally there would be significantly more. So it will be nice to get back into the swing of things.
I am also working with FuzzWolf to see if we can get the rights to publish a couple of the old RainFurest anthologies. These are no longer in print, which is a shame as they contained some amazing fantasy and cyberpunk stories in them. Armoured Fox Press is currently working to get permissions from all the writers.
Lastly, there are a number of ideas in the mix for the future of Armoured Fox Press. I admit that the timelines for anthologies need work, as they are hardly as streamlined a they should be. (part of this is due to life constantly getting in the way, something small presses tend to find out early) My original timeline of doing two anthologies a year is realistic, but it's a case of getting things going and keeping them going, even when things happen. So as anthologies get put together and put into print, expect others to show up on here, and the website. (when we actually have one that is...)
