Crime novelist and comic book writer Alex Segura is making waves in the publishing world these days. Not only has his upcoming book Blackout (released 5/8 from Polis Books) earned attention from reviewers far and wide, but his Pete Fernandez Miami Mystery novels—which include Silent City, Down the Darkest Streetand Dangerous Ends—have recently been optioned for a Miami-based TV adaptation by writers Eduardo Javier Canto and Ryan Maldonado of Chicago P.D. and Code Black.
