Highlights (so far) as a published author
I’d like to share with my readers some of the things that I have been most honored by when I began publishing my work a couple of years back…
Corresponding by email with bestselling historical novelist Jeff Shaara.
I contacted Mr. Shaara (author of books like ‘Gods and Generals’ and ‘The Frozen Hours’) by email…and he personally replied! He offered great advice and encouragement in my own efforts to be a published author, and the fact that he took the time to email me, one of his many, many readers; was a great honor.
Having some of my books added to bestselling historical novelist Bernard Cornwell’s Reading Club page.
I also emailed Mr. Cornwell (author of books like ‘Sharpe’s Rifles’ and ‘The Last Kingdom’), and his personal assistant replied with kind words on his behalf, and offered to add my works to their page for other authors. You can find the first book in each of my trilogies there.

Being asked to join the Spybrary Panel at Spy Con 2018.
I participated in my first interview in a panel setting at the first Spy Con this year. I chatted with my friends Spybrary host Shane Whaley and fellow author Michael Brady. We had a great time and the discussion was recorded for Shane’s podcast!
All of the help in promotion from fellow Western Authors, and my fellow compatriots in the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
For my post War Between the States Westerns, I’ve received invaluable assistance in promotion in newsletters, other authors pages, facebook groups, and so on. I’d like to sincerely thank them all.
My wife, children, and parents.
Without them and their help in convincing me to self-publish, helping proofread, and general cheerleading for me, I couldn’t have done any of this. They are my inspiration and reason for doing what I do.
And, of course; to all of my readers…many thanks!
