The Rectangle of Equanimity

Sherman (the cat) doesn't like strangers in the house—you can tell by the way his posture changes. I've never really analyzed it until recently. It's all about the angles. He goes from pretty much a right-angle cat to an obtuse-and-acute angle cat. Or to put it another way, his rectangle of equanimity collapses into a parallelogram of anxiety.
